Gindry - for baritone and string orchestra

Gindry - for baritone and string orchestra

1998

Composed in July–August 1998 for baritone and string orchestra, Gindry was inspired by one of the first futurist poems to come out of Poland: Aleksander Wat’s “Me from One Side and Me from the Other Side of My Pug Iron Stove” (1920).

It won first prize at the Adam Didur memorial competition for composers in 1998.
