I speak on art, opera and the business sides of creative work — on creativity and how it can be taught, and on what happens to human agency when AI enters the process.

Formats

• Keynote45–60 minPossible topics include creativity and the future of artistic practice. Could include sound and, where the room allows, a short live element.
• Lecture-performance60–75 minTalk and music together rather than talk about music. Needs a playback system; a piano or my own electronics depending on the venue.
• Workshop2–3 hoursARTFUL method, arts-based creative skills. For up to 25 participants; longer formats and multi-day versions on request.
• Panel or conversationAs programmedPossible topics include AI and creative agency, opera and social change, research through practice, new technologies and music.

Technical rider

Audio

Stereo PA with a subwoofer, fed from a 3.5 mm or USB-C source. For lecture-performances, 4-channel is preferred where available.

Projection

HDMI, 16:9, with sound routed to the PA rather than the projector.

Microphone

Preferably headset or lavalier.

Stage

A table for a laptop and interface. A piano where the format calls for one.

Time on site

Sound check of at least 45 minutes before doors.

Travel and fees

Fees vary with format, preparation and whether the event is commercial, public or academic. Travel preferably by train.

What I need from you

Preferred format — we can talk about the options. The type of audience and roughly how many. What you want them to leave with. Whether the talk is being recorded and, if so, where it will be distributed. And preferably the running order, so I know what comes immediately before me; it can change how a talk should open.

Languages

I am comfortable giving talks and taking part in panels in Dutch, English and Polish. French, Spanish, German and Russian are possible for shorter clips or quotes.
