In ‘9 Sprouts’ Glowicka (Glouu) invites Dutch spoken word artist Sjaan Flikweert and cellist Jan Willem Troost for an evening of spoken word, poetry, and music. “9 Sprouts” is an exploration of future literacy, weaving a narrative that spans from words to music. It reflects on the gifts we leave for future generations: love, presence, memory, and reflection. Troost plays on the Knurl, a cello-like instrument that pushes the boundaries of traditional sound, bringing futuristic tones that seem to sprout from the present into the unknown. The delicate transitions from spoken poetry to these innovative soundscapes invite the audience to reflect on the fragile yet enduring connections we create across time.
