I talked about my education, aesthetic choices and emigration.

In Poland, the “sorcerer’s apprentice” model dominated: silent one-on-one conversations about this secret craftsmanship, in Strasbourg – the “master’s workshop”, students gather around the teacher, play pieces and talk, but the master always has the decisive opinion. Whereas in the Netherlands – the “democratic forum”,  where the student’s opinion weighs as much as the professor’s, and you have to constantly defend your opinion, expose yourself and compete.

Rozmawiałam o mojej drodze kompozytorskiej, edukacji, emigracji.

“W Polsce dominował model „ucznia czarnoksiężnika”: ciche rozmowy jeden na jeden o tym tajemnym kunszcie, w Strasburgu – „warsztat mistrza”, wokół nauczyciela gromadzą się uczniowie, gramy utwory i rozmawiamy, ale decydujące zdanie ma zawsze mistrz. Natomiast w Holandii – „demokratyczne forum”,gdzie opinia studenta waży tyle co profesora, i trzeba wciąż bronić swojego zdania, obnażać się i konkurować.
